We are just over a week back from the "trip of a lifetime" that you helped us plan. It could NOT have been better. From the Amtrak ride to New York, across the "big pond" on the Queen Mary II, and back on HAL's MS Rotterdam, and back to Florida on Amtrak, your travel planning was just wonderful.
All four of us absolutely LOVED the QM2, and plan to go again. Our staterooms were wonderful, we spend most of our time with the doors open so we could hear and smell the sea. The adjoining staterooms were perfect for everyone too. On our next trip, we want a higher level balcony with a clear railing. You worked magic finding the HAL sailing that matched our plans perfectly.
It turns out that this was a special voyage celebrating the time in history when Holland America made many transatlantic crossings with immigrants to America. We set sail to a brass band, speeches, and crowds waving, like in days of old. It was very exciting. As you know, you became a friend as well as adviser during the planning of this trip, and I miss your cheerful voice, and prompt telephone answers.
I knew I could expect return calls or emails quickly. All of our paperwork was flawless. Knowing that everything was in order really helped add to the enjoyment of our complex trip. It will be a couple of years before we are ready to journey so far again, but you know that I will be calling.
